Winemaker Comments:
The Russian River Valley is internationally recognized as one of
the finest Chardonnay growing regions in the world. The
traditionally long, cool growing season allows our Chardonnay to
hang on the vine until it achieves its true potential. In 2006,
the growing conditions were nearly perfect. Initial aromas of
fresh pear, fig, and apricot lead to underlying elements of
honeysuckle and tropical fruits. On the palate, the wine is
quite opulent with warm caramel and vanilla bean notes that
incorporate additional fruits such as Fuji apple and apricots.
The well-integrated French oak creates a seamless wine that
lingers on the palate and invites another sip.
